What are the services for children with a disability?

House with No Steps provide specialised support for infants and young children with a disability and/or developmental delay.

Families can often see their children improve dramatically though our service, which we call Early Childhood Intervention.

Early Childhood Intervention  includes supports like  speech pathology, special education, physiotherapy and occupational therapy for children aged 0-7 years.

Our teams offer specialised services to support a child to reach developmental milestones such as communication, making friends, improving strength and balance, playing with others, and day to day tasks such as eating and dressing.

We also help support children to prepare for their next big stage in life such as starting daycare or school, as well as helping families to understand their child’s delay or disability and how they can support them in their own home.

We provide support to children with a broad range of disabilities and developmental delays including:

  • Down syndrome
  • Autism
  • Cerebral palsy
  • Intellectual disabilities
  • Hearing loss
  • Brain trauma and encephalitis
